Crystal Palace are looking to strengthen their midfield with the signing of Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, according to the Irish Independent.
Shelvey has fallen out of favour at Swansea in recent months aand was completely omitted from the matchday squad that lost to Manchester United at the weekend.
The England international has no time to waste with one eye on the European Championship’s this summer and looks destined to move away in order to obtain first-team football.
The 23-year-old has only featured in four league games from a possible eight since last international break midway through November having started the season in sublime fashion.
Palace are frontrunners to acquire his signature, but the South Wales outfit will reportedly only entertain offers in excess of £10m.
Since the start of last season, only three players have missed the target with more shots than Shelvey (30)

I like Shelvey; he's pretty solid and has some grit. I'm not sure how much of an upgrade he would really be though. Palace has 3 pretty good CMs currently. Would make more sense to upgrade a weakness.
