Tottenham have won the race to land highly sought after Championship starlet Moussa Dembele, according to the Guardian.
Dembele, 19, has been linked with a variety of clubs across Europe in recent months after it became clear he would not be signing a new deal at Fulham before Christmas.
Spurs have been among those chasing his signature for some time and are now close to completing an initial £5m deal to add further options up front as cover for Harry Kane.
Fulham, who are 19th in he Championship, will reluctantly allow their top goalscorer to leave on a permanent deal when they had been hoping to have the Frenchman back on loan until the end of the season.
Their attempts to beat the drop could get much worse following speculation suggesting star striker Ross McCormack has handed in a transfer request to force through a move to high-flying Middlesbrough.
Since the start of the season, only Abel Hernandez (9) and Andre Gray (14) have scored more clear-cut chances than Dembele (8) in the Championship.
