Javi Martinez's time at Bayern Munich is coming to an end after eight years at the club, claims German outlet Kicker.
Martinez is apporaching the final 12 months of his existing Bayern deal and the Bundesliga giants have no intention of extending his stay at the Allianz Arena.
The 31-year-old is one of Bayern's record buys of all-time after joining from Athletic Club in a deal worth £31.6m in 2012.
The deal saw Martinez become the most expensive signing in Bundesliga history but he has endured a nightmare with injuries ever since his arrival.
Martinez has remarkably never managed to start at least 20 league matches in a single campaign for Bayern and has made just 12 appearances in the Bundesliga in 2019/20.
Bayern are planning for the future and the likes of Martinez and Jerome Boateng are free to leave the club this summer.
The former Spain international has only managed to feature in just 37.7% of Bayern's league matches during the last eight years.
