Liverpool will be without captain Jordan Henderson for up to two months after the England midfielder suffered a broken foot in training, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Henderson, 25, has already missed Liverpool’s previous four matches through injury and had been in contention to face Norwich on Saturday after returning from the United States where he saw a specialist regarding a separate foot problem.
However, the Liverpool skipper is now not expected to feature again until November and will undergo surgery on his right metatarsal on Monday.
The news comes as a devastating blow for Brendan Rodgers who is currently going through a managerial crisis at Anfield. The Liverpool manager is boosted by the return of Daniel Sturridge, however.
