European duo chasing Premier League's highest rated player

Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund are exploring the possibility of signing Riyad Mahrez this summer, reports French publication Le Beteur.

Mahrez has been in stunning form for Leicester City this season, with his WhoScored rating (7.96) better than any other player in the Premier League this term.

His performances has understandably attracted interest from top teams on the continent, who could move for the 24-year-old at the end of the current campaign.

City experienced first hand just how effective Mahrez in Leicester's recent 3-1 win at the Etihad Stadium.

The Foxes will be keen to retain the services of Mahrez, who has had a direct hand in 24 league goals for Claudio Ranieri's side this season, netting 14 times and contributing a further 10 assists in England's top tier.
