Manchester City to spend big to sign Tottenham star

Tottenham are demanding at least £50m for Kyle Walker should Manchester City firm up their rumoured interest in the England international, according to the Sunday Sun.

Walker has been heavily linked with a big money switch to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season with City boss Pep Guardiola are huge admirer of the 26-year-old.

Spurs are reluctant to cash in on Walker but are aware that the right-back is high on Guardiola’s summer wish list.

The Spurs man is alleged to have held showdown talks with manager Mauricio Pochettino amidst interest from City, with Walker supposedly wanting a new deal to bring him in line with the club’s top earners Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris.

Pochettino last week said that any Spurs player would be sold on the club’s terms, with chairman Daniel Levy valuing Walker at £50m after the Spurs man established himself as England’s number one right-back.
