Liverpool scouts still tracking Bundesliga starlet

Liverpool scouts will continue to watch Gladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud this season ahead of a summer move, reports to Die Express, via Football365.

The Bundesliga side blocked their move for Dahoud in the summer but Jurgen Klopp has not given up hope on signing the 20-year-old.

Dahoud has entered the final two years of his existing deal with Gladbach and the German side are unlikely to command the same fee Liverpool would have been willing to pay in the transfer window just gone.

However, Liverpool are still very interested in the Germany Under-21 international and could rekindle their interest in the central midfielder next summer.

Only four players aged 21 and under have won possession more times in the midfield third in the Bundesliga since the start of last season than Dahoud (79).
