Liverpool slap £130m valuation on Barcelona target

Liverpool will not consider selling Philippe Coutinho unless Barcelona stump up in excess of £130m, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Coutinho is determined to join Barcelona this month after failing to secure his dream move in the summer and Ernesto Valverde’s side are confident of landing the Brazilian.

Reports have emerged suggesting Coutinho will not play again for Liverpool until his future is resolved but Jurgen Klopp’s side will not entertain any offers south of £130m.

Liverpool categorically ruled out Coutinho’s departure before the start of the season but there is a feeling that the Merseysiders’ stance has now changed.

However, it remains to be seen whether Barcelona can sign Coutinho immediately or agree a deal now for the summer.

Barcelona shelled out £135m to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Ousmane Dembele in the summer and Liverpool believe Coutinho is worth as much as that.

Despite missing out on a move to Barcelona before the start of the season, Coutinho has been immense for Liverpool thus far and is currently the highest rated player in the Premier League (8.03).

In 14 Premier League appearances, the 25-year-old has scored seven goals and registered six assists.
