Palace sign former Arsenal midfielder

Crystal Palace have announced they have signed former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini on a free transfer.

Flamini, 32, has been a free agent since being released by Arsenal at the end of last season.

The French midfielder had been linked with a move to Turkey in the summer but has signed a one-year deal with Palace.

“Crystal Palace is a very ambitious club with great players and I am looking forward to being part of that squad. It is a very interesting challenge for me and I am very excited to be here,” Flamini told the club’s official website.

“I have had chance to discuss the move here with Alan Pardew and he really helped me make my decision.”
