Stoke City have announced Bojan has put pen to paper on a new four-and-a-half year deal, keeping him at the club until 2020.
Bojan’s previous deal was due to expire at the end of the season and there had been concerns Stoke could lose the former Barcelona forward for £10m in January.
However, the Spaniard has pledged his long-term future to the club and is delighted to do so.
“I am very happy and motivated,” Bojan told the club’s official website. “Stoke City gave me the opportunity to play in the most competitive league in the world, the Premier League, and I have only words of gratitude for their trust and for the way they have treated me since the first day I arrived in England."
“Mark Hughes convinced me to come to Stoke, he has helped me and showed his trust in me from the beginning, he followed closely the recovery process from my injury and there is no doubt I have signed an extension of my contract thanks to him."
Bojan has already scored more league goals in this campaign than he managed in the previous season (5).
