Inter line up former defender to replace De Boer

Inter have entered initial talks with Laurent Blanc to potentially replace Frank de Boer as manager, reports Le Parisien, via Get French Football.

De Boer, 46, is under huge pressure at Inter despite only replacing Roberto Mancini at the start of August.

The Serie A giants have made an in different start to life under De Boer and there are suggestions he could even be sacked in the wake of their result against an in-form Torino side on Wednesday.

A shambolic start to life in the Europa League this season has also weighed heavy on the pressure surround De Boer, although he did manage to secure their first league win over Juventus in four years.

Ominously for De Boer, Inter are reportedly already planning for life without the former Ajax manager and have made initial contract with Blanc’s agent.

Blanc, who spent two years at Inter around the turn of the Millennium, has been out of work since being sacked by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season, although he might not be unemployed for long if De Boer cannot make quick changes to Inter’s fortunes.

Inter have only won four of 12 matches in all competitions and are already 10 points adrift of league leaders Juventus, with just five points separating them from the bottom three.
