Roma announce new Totti deal

Roma have announced Francesco Totti has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal keeping him at the club until the end of next season.

The 39-year-old’s contract was due to expire this summer and it didn’t look like he would be offered an extension after falling out with new coach Luciano Spalletti.

However, a late resurgence in form towards the end of the season has seen Totti earn himself another year at the club, extending his career with Roma into its 25th year.
