Tottenham creator-in-chief to commit to new deal

Tottenham star Christian Eriksen is on the verge of putting pen to paper on a new four-and-a-half-year deal, according to The Daily Mail.

Eriksen has been in sensational form for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season, although his performances have somewhat flown under the radar following the rise to prominence of Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele.

The Denmark international has two years left to run on the original five-year deal he penned when he joined from Ajax in 2013 but Spurs have made securing the long-term futures of their star players a main priority this summer.

Eriksen is reportedly set to become one of the highest earners at White Hart Lane with wages in the region of £80,000-a-week accompanying reports.

Only Mesut Ozil (18) has registered more assists in the Premier League than Eriksen (13) this season.
