RB Leipzig have confirmed the arrival of Roma striker Patrik Schick on a season-long loan deal.
Schick has only spent the last two years at Roma but the 23-year-old has failed to fulfil his potential at the Serie A club after bursting onto the scene at Sampdoria.
New Roma manager Paulo Fonseca has sanctioned Schick’s departure after signing his replacement, Nikola Kalinic, from Atletico Madrid.
Roma wanted Leipzig to make Schick’s switch permanent if the forward played a certain number of matches but the Bundesliga outfit declined.
Leipzig are the only side left in the Bundesliga with a perfect record and Schick will add to an already talented group of players.
The Czech Republic international hasn’t featured at all for Roma this season and will hope to use the international break to get up to speed ready for his Leipzig debut.
Schick only managed five goals in 46 league appearances for Roma.
