Manchester United consider second raid of Arsenal

Manchester United are interested in signing Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin at the end of the season, claims the Manchester Evening News.

Arsenal are willing to sell Bellerin in the summer and Italian giants Juventus have emerged as the early frontrunners for his signature.

The Spain international’s current Arsenal deal is not due to expire until 2023 but the 22-year-old is reportedly weighing up his future at the club.

Juventus have made signing a new right-back their top priority this summer with Stephan Lichtsteiner due to leave when his contract expires.

However, Arsenal value Bellerin at £50m and it remains to be seen whether Juventus would be willing to make the Spaniard their second most expensive signing of all-time.

Juventus may now face competition from United, as Jose Mourinho is on the market to find Antonio Valencia’s long-term successor.

The United vice-captain turns 33 at the start of next season and the Red Devils have checked in with Bellerin’s camp and asked to be kept up to date with his future.

Mourinho’s side prised Alexis Sanchez away from the Emirates in January and are now eyeing a second raid in the space of six months.

Since August 2014, no defender has completed more dribbles than Bellerin (161) in the Premier League.
