Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hailed Dele Alli as one of the best players he has ever seen but ruled out a summer move for the Tottenham starlet.
Guardiola had reportedly earmarked Alli as one of several Tottenham players he wants to sign over the summer as City prepare for a summer of huge spending.
However, the Spaniard has ruled out a summer move for the PFA Young Player of the Year, albeit before going on to lavish immense praise on the Tottenham youngster.
“Mauricio Pochettino has to stay calm,” the London Evening Standard quote Pochettino as saying. “Dele Alli will be his player next season. I am pretty sure about that.
“We don’t want him. He is a fantastic player – good, new, English football. He’s a fighter. He’s good. He ‘s someone who attacks the box and is one of the most fantastic players I have ever seen in my life. But Manchester City doesn’t want Dele Alli.”
Alli only signed a new contract keeping him at Tottenham until 2022 in September and has been one of the most outstanding players in the Premier League in 2017.
In fact, Alli is the highest rated player aged 21 and under in the Premier League this season (7.31) having remarkably scored 16 goals from midfield.

This idea that Tottenham will be selling top players to other EPL teams (who they are all above in the table) should just stop. The last two superstars to be sold went far away and that was after they forced their way out of less competitive teams than the one currently. New stadium with increased revenue on the way means they are not a selling club.
