Italy ponder Premier League coach as Conte's successor

Italy are considering an approach for current Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri as Antonio Conte's successor after Euro 2016, reports the Express.

Conte is widely expected to take over at Chelsea following this summer's European Championship, with his contract with the Azzurri expiring upon the culmination of the tournament.

Ranieri has since emerged as a surprise candidate for the role, with the experienced boss working wonders for Leicester this season.

The Foxes currently occupy top spot in the Premier League coming into the business end of the campaign, with Ranieri rightly attracting the plaudits.

The FIGC have drawn up a list of potential successors for Conte, with the 64-year-old supposedly top of the shortlist as a result of the wonderful job he has done at the King Power Stadium this term.
