Tottenham are leading the race to sign Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi, reports L’Equipe.
Batshuayi, 22, has been one of the star performers in Ligue 1 this season and his form has already seen him heavily linked with a move to the Premier League.
Newcastle were reportedly interested in signing the Belgium striker in the January transfer window, but it now appears Spurs are leading the race after reports from inside the Marseille camp have suggested the striker is in ‘very advanced talks’ with Spurs.
Since the start of the season, only Zlatan Ibrahimovic (21) has scored more league goals than Batshuayi in Ligue 1 (12).
