Manchester City are closing in on the signings of full-back duo Danilo and Benjamin Mendy from Real Madrid and Monaco, respectively, reports the Times.
Danilo was thought to be close to a move to Chelsea until City stole a march on their rivals for the Brazilian right-back as Pep Guardiola looks to add the former Porto star to his side after missing out on Dani Alves.
Despite City’s big money capture of Kyle Walker from Tottenham last week, Guardiola is keen on signing up to four full-backs this summer following the departures of Bacary Sagna, Pablo Zabaleta and Gael Clichy.

And the 26-year-old looks set to be followed to the Etihad Stadium by Mendy in the coming days.
The France international has been heavily linked with a move to City for much of the summer, with the Premier League side working hard behind the scenes to push the deal over the line.
City have already spent £144m this summer to sign Walker, Bernardo Silva, Ederson and Douglas Luiz, while Danilo will set the club back £26.5m.
23-year-old Mendy, meanwhile, could cost up to £40m after an excellent campaign for Monaco.
