Bournemouth spend £5.4m on young French striker

Bournemouth have announced they have signed Le Harve striker Lys Mousset in a deal worth £5.4m.

Mousset, 20, has been tracked by a host of clubs across Europe including Arsenal, Tottenham and Monaco but Eddie Howe’s side have won the race to sign the France Under-20 international.

"Lys is another player with great potential that we are delighted to bring to the football club," Bournemouth's chief executive Neill Blake told the club's official website.

"We're always planning for the future and Lys is not only a young player with exciting potential, but someone who had a massive impact for their club last season.

"We look forward to welcoming him to Vitality Stadium and believe he will only continue to improve under the tutelage of Eddie and Jason."
