Bournemouth are interested in audacious move for Napoli star, reveals agent

The agent of Napoli midfielder Jorginho has revealed Bournemouth head coach Eddie Howe is a big fan of his client but rubbish reports of an official bid.

Jorginho is arguably one of the most underrated midfielders in Europe and has established himself as a key component of one of the best footballing sides on the continent in the last few years.

Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting Napoli rejected a €20m (£18.3m) bid from Bournemouth less than 24 hours after the two sides battled out a 2-2 draw in pre-season.

Jorginho’s agent has rubbished those rumours but did reveal Howe is a big admirer of the 25-year-old.

“Bournemouth on Jorginho? They never made a concrete offer for him, but I know their coach really likes him,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss, via Football Italia.

Jorginho has established himself as a first team regular for Napoli under Maurizio Sarri in the last two campaigns just when it appeared the Italy international was on his way out of the club.

In that time, the Napoli No.8 has completed more passes than any other player in Serie A (5661).
