Lazio have confirmed winger Keita Balde has sprained his knee but have refused to put a timeframe on his return.
Keita was forced off with five minutes remaining of Lazio’s 2-0 defeat to Roma at the weekend after suffering a knee injury although scan results have revealed the Senegal international has avoided ligament damage.
The 21-year-old is set to undergo further tests before a timeframe can put place on his recovery, although it would seem that Lazio No.14 will miss the remainder of 2016 and return to first team action in February when he returns from Africa Cup of Nations duty.
Keita has already played a direct hand in as many league goals this season (6) in 13 appearances than he managed in 31 league games last season.
