Nice president Jean Pierre Rivere has confirmed that Hatem Ben Arfa is in talks with Barcelona over a proposed move in the summer but insists nothing has been agreed.
Ben Arfa, 28, is out of contract at the end of the season and it emerged that Barcelona were leading the race to sign the former Newcastle and Hull flop.
The France international has been in sensational form for Nice this season and has revitalised his career in the south of France and now appears on the verge of making a shock move to Barcelona as they search for a fourth striker.
“I would be very happy for him and for Nice if this moves comes off. You do not reject Barcelona but it is up to him to decide,” Rivere told France 3, via Get French Football.
“If I was a player and Barcelona was offered to me, I would not ask questions, I would go! But it is not yet done according to what I am told."
No player has completed more dribbles in Ligue 1 this season than Ben Arfa (137).
