Chelsea consider signing second winger in January

Chelsea are pondering a £36m move for PSV sensation Hirving Lozano, reports the Guardian.

The Blues have already secured the services of Christian Pulisic this month, though they American will remain at Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season.

Chelsea have also been linked with a move for striker Gonzalo Higuain, who is currently on loan at AC Milan, but Juventus have rebuffed speculation suggesting the Argentine will link up with Maurizio Sarri once more.

However, in a bid to improve their attacking fortunes, Chelsea are considering a bid for the Mexican star, who has scored 11 goals and registered six assists in the Eredivisie this season.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona have previously been linked with a move Lozano, but Chelsea now appear to have stolen a march on the trio in the race to land the Mexico international.

PSV will be reluctant to cash in on one of their star players this month, with Lozano’s WhoScored rating (8.12) the third best of all players for the Eredivisie leaders.
