Nasri eager to remain with Sevilla

Samir Nasri is keen to turn is temporary Sevilla move into a permanent switch, reports the Sun.

The Frenchman secured a loan transfer to the La Liga giants from Manchester City over the summer and has enjoyed a lease of life under Jorge Sampaoli.

Indeed, Nasri has started six of nine La Liga games under the Argentine boss and has played a key role in Sevilla’s superb start to the season, with the club currently second in the table.

Sevilla do not have an option to buy Nasri as part of the current deal with City, but having fallen out of favour with Pep Guardiola, it’s unlikely he’ll return to the Etihad Stadium in the foreseeable future.

A move could be wrapped up as early as January, with Nasri believed to be returning to Manchester over the Christmas period to discuss his future with the Premier League giants.

City, though, would command a fee of around £12m for the 29-year-old, with Sevilla now hoping to raise funds to secure Nasri’s services permanently.
