Roma sporting director Monchi has warned Leicester their final offer for Riyad Mahrez could prove their last as they begin to consider alternatives.
The Serie A giants have made signing a new wide player one of their main objectives between now and the start of the upcoming campaign with Mahrez at the top of their wish list.
Mahrez has already told Leicester he wants to leave the club this summer, but after penning a new long-term deal 12 months ago, the Foxes are in a position of strength in the transfer window.
Leicester are reportedly hoping to command towards £50m for the former PFA Player of the Year but Monchi has suggested their latest offer, which is thought to be worth £32m, could be their last before they move on.
“We’re not just working on one name,” The Daily Mirror quote Monchi as saying at Hector Moreno’s presentation. “It’s logical, we have different options. In the case of Mahrez it’s become public knowledge, with others it hasn’t.
“We’ve made two offers, the second is far and then we stopped. There are no percentages, the deal will get over the line or it won’t.
“Mahrez is one of the options, not the only one. It’s true that this could be the last offer, we’re evaluating other options.”

Arsenal are also believed to be monitoring developments with Mahrez this summer but will only consider a second move for the 26-year-old if they fail to land Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.
Mahrez endured a difficult campaign during the disastrous defence of Leicester’s title-winning campaign last term. After playing a direct hand in 28 goals in the 2015/16 campaign, he only managed to score or assist nine goals this time around.
Since August 2015, Mahrez has been dribbled past more times than any other Premier League player (125).
