Two Premier League sides battling for Manchester City outcast

West Ham and Swansea are chasing the signature of £15m-rated Manchester City outcast Wilfried Bony, reports The Daily Mail.

Bony has spent the season on loan at Stoke but has failed to make any impression under Mark Hughes and the Potters will not attempt to secure his services beyond the end of the current campaign.

The Ivory Coast international has no future under Pep Guardiola and is one of several City players that will be offloaded in the summer with West Ham and Swansea chasing his signature.

Paul Clement has successfully steered Swansea to safety and is now looking to kick on next season by bringing Bony back to the Liberty Stadium.

The 28-year-old’s best football in the Premier League was during his 18-month stint at Swansea, which led to his £28m switch to City in January 2015. However, the Welsh outfit will face competition from West Ham, who are determined to put an end to their drawn out search for a reliable goalscoring striker.

Bony has not featured for Stoke since returning from Africa Cup of Nations duty at the start of the year, making just 10 appearances for Stoke all season in the Premier League.
