Alisson pleased by interest shown from Liverpool

Roma goalkeeper Alisson says he is happy to be linked with moves to Liverpool and Real Madrid but is not thinking about leaving the Serie A side.

Alisson has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe this season and has been heavily linked with a summer move away from Roma.

The Brazil international is expected to start ahead of Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson at the 2018 World Cup, emphasising his class.

Liverpool and Madrid are reportedly tracking Alisson’s future at Roma and the 25-year-old admits he is flattered by their interest.

“I don't know what will happen,” Alisson told Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia. “It’s logical that the interest pleases me. I’d say it’s not just a question of need, I know my value, not in terms of money but as a player.

“I know what I bring to a team, but I’m only thinking of the present. Whatever happens next, we’ll leave it for later.

“I’m here and I need to focus on doing well. Even when I was at Internacional, I had negotiations with Roma but all I thought of was doing well.

“I played for six months with my contract already signed with the Giallorossi but I won all the same.”
