Sevilla interested in Bacca return, says chief

Sevilla sporting director Oscar Arias has revealed they could hand AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca a way back to Spain this summer.

Bacca has spent the last two years at Milan after leaving Sevilla to join the Serie A giants in a reported €30m deal but the Colombia international’s future now seems away from the club.

Milan made Porto striker Andre Silva the club’s second most expensive signing of all-time when they completed a £33.6m deal for the Portugal international and his arrival will have a direct impact on Bacca’s playing time next season.

The 30-year-old has already endured a turbulent relationship with Milan and Arias has left the door open to a summer return to Sevilla.

“Yes it’s true, Bacca could be a possibility for us,” he told Estadio Deportivo, via Football Espana.

“We believe that he is on the market and will be sold this summer so players of his quality will always interest us.

“Due to Milan having a new owner and setup they will understandably be restructuring their squad, so players being on the market is understandable and is something which should alert us.”

In the last two Serie A campaigns Bacca is the only Milan player that has reached double figures for goals, scoring at least 22 more goals than any other teammate in that time (31).
