Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has verbally agreed a new two-year contract extension keeping him at the club until 2021.
The former Southampton manager admitted one of his dreams is to manage Paris Saint-Germain in the future and has previously been linked with the Manchester United hot seat following Spurs’ remarkable campaign.
However, Pochettino has given Tottenham a huge boost and is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal in the coming days.
“It’s an easy decision [to stay at Spurs],” he is quoted as saying by The Guardian. “When you are happy and when you feel the love of the people and the potential of the club is massive. Why change?
“We create a good atmosphere on the training ground and I think we can achieve big things in the future. I believe in this project and this club. I want to stay here.”
Tottenham’s title challenge looks like it has fallen short but they have still conceded the fewest goals in the Premier League this season (26) and only Manchester City (66) have scored more (Tottenham - 65).
