Leicester City have offered Riyad Mahrez a lucrative new deal in an attempt to ward off interest in the summer, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Claudio Ranieri’s side are determined to hold on to as many of their star players from last season as possible and they have already offered Jamie Vardy a new deal in the wake of Arsenal matching his release clause.
Mahrez, who was voted PFA Player of the Year, has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain already this summer but the Foxes have handed him a £100,000-a-week deal in an attempt to keep him at the King Power Stadium.
Unlike Vardy, there is no release clause in Mahrez’s existing deal, which means Leicester can demand their price for the Algeria international.
Only Vardy (30) played a direct hand in more goals in the Premier League last season than Mahrez (28).
