Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined Manchester United on a free transfer, according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, via Get French Football.
Ibrahimovic, 34, has announced he will leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires at the end of the season following four years at the club.
With United set to replace Louis van Gaal with Jose Mourinho, who has a very strong relationship with Ibrahimovic, in the coming days a deal would seemingly make sense.
While the full details of the deal remain unclear it is being reported that the plan is to make Ibrahimovic an assistant coach at Old Trafford down the line.
Despite turning 35 in October, Ibrahimovic has just come off the back of his most prolific season in his career (38 goals) where only Luis Suarez (40) scored more goals across Europe’s top five leagues.
