Isco insists he wants to stay at Real Madrid amid reports linking him with a move away from the Spanish capital, reports AS.
The 23-year-old has regularly been linked with a move away from the Bernebau and it is thought Madrid plan to sell the Spaniard in the summer, along with James Rodriguez.
Isco has never really managed to nail down a regular starting berth since joining Malaga in 2013 and it wasn’t surprising to see Madrid deliver their best performance under Zinedine Zidane in their 4-0 win over Sevilla, in which neither Isco nor Rodriguez started.
However, the former Malaga midfielder fully intends to see out the remaining two years of his current deal and he is confident of winning back Zidane’s trust following several lacklustre performances.
It is being reported that there is a feeling around the club that Isco’s performances have dipped since last season, even though he is actually proving more decisive this time around.
In fact, he is providing a decisive action every 165.9 minutes of league action this season (two goals, seven assists) compared to contributing every 180.7 mins in the last campaign (four goals, nine assists).
