Former Liverpool target not interested in Premier League switch

Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool last season but insists he has no interest in playing in the Premier League.

Zielinski, 22, instead opted to join Napoli from Udinese last summer and has enjoyed a successful maiden campaign with the Serie A giants.

The 22-year-old has struggled to nail down a regular spot in Maurizio Sarri’s starting XI but has been thoroughly impressive when called upon and the midfielder sees no reason why he would leave the club.

“The Premier League? Now I’m certainly thinking only about Napoli, there I am fine with many champions such as [Marek] Hamsik, [Pepe] Reina, [Jose] Callejon and [Raul] Albiol,” Zielinski told Tuttosport, via Football Italia.

“Almost the whole team would say that I try to do everything for Napoli, they are a great team with fantastic fans, and it’s a beautiful city so I do not want to move.”
