Chelsea target makes Roma admission

Chelsea target and Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has admitted he could sign a lifetime contract with the Serie A side.

The Belgian was heavily linked with a transfer to Stamford Bridge last summer, while the Blues were reported to have considered a move for the 29-year-old last month.

Nainggolan was disciplined by Roma head coach Francesco Di Eusebio due to matters off the pitch, with a big money switch to China also on the cards.

However, Nainggolan has now come out and committed his loyalty to the Rome side.

“I am very happy at Roma and see no reason why I should leave,” Nainggolan is quoted as saying by Sky Sport Italia via Forza Italian Football.

“I have everything I need [here], and in these situations not even a ton of money can change your mind.

“I could sign a lifetime contract with Roma, as I’ve already said no to many other clubs. Unless, of course, one day they decide to kick me out.”

Nainggolan has made 18 league starts for Roma this season and is expected to start at Verona tomorrow morning as the Rome side look to end their six-match winless run.
