Leicester are targeting a shock move for out of favour Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, reports the Sun on Sunday.
The England number one is currently on loan with Serie A side Torino and is widely expected to leave the Etihad Stadium permanently at the end of the season.
West Ham and Tottenham have both been credited with an interest in the 29-year-old, but Leicester have emerged as contenders for his signature.
The defending Premier League champions fear they may lose Kasper Schmeichel at the end of the campaign and are preparing to bolster their goalkeeping options if the Dane departs for pastures new.
Ron-Robert Zieler has done little to convince Claudio Ranieri that he warrants a regular first team spot, which could see the Foxes move for Hart.
Hart boasts a respectable 70.3% save success rate in Serie A this season as he looks to impress in Italy and his displays have not gone unnoticed.
City will supposedly demand at least £20m from Premier League sides if they do cash in on Hart next summer, though that is unlikely to deter Leicester, provided they can avoid the possible threat of relegation.
