Chelsea are now considering other midfield targets after failing with a third bid of £33m for Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, reports The Daily Mail.
Nainggolan, 28, has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this summer and has reportedly been earmarked by Antonio Conte as his No.1 target.
The Belgium international is currently on duty with the national team at Euro 2016 and is happy to remain with Roma next season and Chelsea are now interested in lining up a bid for his national teammate and Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder Alex Witsel.
Since August 2013 only two players have won possession more times in the midfield third than Nainggolan (417).
