Juventus agree €30.5m deal for rising Serie A star

Juventus have reached an agreement with Sampdoria for the signing of Patrik Schick that will see the Serie A champions pay €30.5m over the next three years, reports Sky Sport Italia, via Football Italia.

Schick has been heavily linked with a move to a number of Europe’s biggest clubs after enjoying a breathtaking breakthrough campaign with Sampdoria in Serie A last season.

However, the 21-year-old will now undergo a medical with Juventus in the coming days before putting pep to paper on a five-year deal ahead of the U21 European Championships, where he will be part of the Czech Republic squad.

Sampdoria have also included a clause in the deal that will give them the first option to get Schick on loan for next season, but a decision will only be made when Max Allegri has had the chance to work with the young forward during pre-season.

Schick made 32 appearances in Serie A last season but 18 of those came as a substitute. Despite that, only Fabio Quagliarella (12) scored more goals for Sampdoria than the youngster (11).

Furthermore, of players that scored at least 10 goals in Serie A last season, only Gregoire Defrel (27.9%) had a better conversion rate than Schick (25.6%).
