Aston Villa outcast Micah Richards has emerged as a transfer target for Turkish side Trabzonspor, according to The Daily Mirror.
Richards, 28, has been a huge disappointment since joining from Manchester City on a free transfer in 2015 and has dropped completely out of favour this season as Villa look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
The former England international still has three years left to run on his existing deal with Villa, but Turkish side Trabzonspor have emerged as surprised suitors for the versatile defender in January.
Richards is one of few English players that have played abroad, having spent a year on loan with Italian side Fiorentina. Richards has only featured in 128 minutes of action in the Championship this season, in which Villa ended up drawing both of those matches.
