Juventus eye up Sandro replacement

Juventus are on the verge of signing Nice left-back Dalbert fuelling suggestions they will allow Alex Sandro to join Chelsea, reports Globoesporte, via Football Italia.

The Serie A champions have already rejected a £55m bid for Sandro from Chelsea and director Beppe Marotta has revealed a deal will only happen if the defender pushes for a move.

However, Juventus appear to be preparing for his potential exit with the arrival of Dalbert, who was previously linked with a move to Inter before they refused to match Nice’s €15m (£13.2m).

The 23-year-old only joined Nice from Portuguese side Vitoria de Guimaraes last summer, but he impressed during his debut campaign in France and is now wanted by bigger clubs in Europe.

However, given Juventus let Patrice Evra leave in January without bringing in a replacement, Max Allegri’s side may simply be looking to sign Dalbert to complement Sandro rather than replace him.

There is no surprise in Juventus’ interest in Dalbert given the Brazilian has shown he can play at full-back and wing-back. He played 33 times in Ligue 1 last season and completed more tackles than any other Nice teammate in that time (87).
