Hull City have completed the signing of Kevin Stewart from Premier League giants Liverpool.
Stewart moved to Liverpool from Tottenham in 2014, but made only 11 Premier League appearances during his time with the Merseyside outfit.
“The Tigers have strengthened their squad with the arrival of Kevin Stewart from Liverpool for an undisclosed fee,” a statement read on the club’s official website.
“Stewart, who flew out to the Tigers’ training base in Portugal last night, has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal.
“The 23-year-old made 20 appearances for Liverpool - 11 of which came in the Premier League - after arriving at Anfield from Tottenham in the summer of 2014 and also boasts further first team experience from loan spells at Crewe Alexandra, Cheltenham Town, Burton Albion and Swindon Town.
“The central midfielder will be available for selection in tomorrow night’s pre-season friendly with Benfica at the Estadio Algarve.”
Speaking of his move to Hull, Stewart said: “I’m delighted to sign for the club, I can’t wait to get started and get my boots on.
“It’s an exciting move for me and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
Stewart becomes the club’s fourth summer signing, with the announcement made shortly after Andrew Robertson’s move to Liverpool was confirmed.
