Manchester City hopeful of convincing Tottenham to sell England international

Manchester City remain hopeful they can convince Tottenham to sell Kyle Walker this summer, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Walker is a top transfer target for City this summer with Pep Guardiola desperate to revamp his full-back options for next season.

The England international only signed a new long-term deal with Tottenham in September but will wait until the end of the season before deciding on his future at the club.

Walker currently earns less than £70,000-a-week at Tottenham despite establishing himself as the best right-back in the Premier League and his earning power would be significantly higher at City.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding campaign for Tottenham this season, providing five assists in the Premier League, as many as he managed in his previous three league campaigns combined.
