Juventus willing to sell star midfielder with Barcelona interested

Juventus are open to selling star midfielder Miralem Pjanic with Manchester City and Barcelona circling, claims Yahoo Sport.

Pjanic has been heavily linked with a sensational move away from the Old Lady and the Serie A giants have now decided they are willing to cash in on the midfielder.

The Bosnia international is valued at €80m (£71.5m) and has emerged as a potential transfer target for City in the wake of missing out on Jorginho’s signature to rivals Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola is understood to be happy to with his current midfield options but it remains to be seen whether Juventus’ stance will entice the City boss back into the market.

Juventus have committed in the region of £350m to signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid this summer and are preparing to sell off some high profile names to balance their books.

Daniele Rugani and Gonzalo Higuain have emerged as transfer targets for Chelsea and now Pjanic looks set to join the aforementioned duo out of the club.

Despite signing Arthur from Gremio, Barcelona are still keen on bolstering their midfield options following the departure of Andres Iniesta and Paulinho.

The Spanish champions are prepared to rival City or any other Premier League clubs for Pjanic’s signature.

No player has scored more goals from direct free-kicks than Pjanic since the start of the 2015/16 Serie A season (8).
