Burnley are resigned to losing Michael Keane this summer and have earmarked West Brom defender Craig Dawson as his replacement, reports The Daily Mirror.
Keane is widely expected to join Everton in a £25m deal leaving Sean Dyche with an enormous hole to fill at the heart of his defence.
Dyche failed in his attempts to sign Dawson three years ago and the Burnley manager is hopeful of prizing him away from the Hawthorns as he has entered the final 12 months of his current deal.
The 27-year-old, who has been playing as a right-back for West Brom, enjoyed a sublime season for the Baggies last season, starting 37 league games. In the last two Premier League seasons no orthodox defender has scored more goals than Dawson (8).
