Valencia eye £22m January move for Tottenham midfielder
Valencia want to strengthen their push for a European finish in La Liga this season by signing Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko in January, reports The Sun.
Los Che have made a stunning start to the season and are within touching distance of league leaders Barcelona, but Valencia head coach Marcelino wants to bolster his squad in the winter transfer window.
Sissoko emerged as a summer transfer target for Valencia but the La Liga giants failed to get a deal over the line and now they intend on rekindling their interest in the France international.
Despite some improved performances this season, Tottenham fans have never warmed to Sissoko and Mauricio Pochettino’s side were widely mocked for splashing out £30m on his signature in 2016.
Sissoko only started eight Premier League matches last season and it rarely looked Pochettino completely trusted the versatile midfielder, but that appears to have changed this term.
The former Newcastle United ace has already started five times in the league this season and has even scored his first goal since making the big-money switch to London over a year ago.
