Everton hold talks over Juventus midfielder

Everton have held talks with the mother of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, reports Italian publication TuttoJuve.

The Frenchman only joined the Old Lady on a free transfer from PSG last summer, but has failed to nail down a regular starting spot under Maurizio Sarri.

Indeed, Rabiot has made just 11 league starts for Juventus this season, landing a WhoScored rating of 6.70 in the process.

And it's rumoured that the player's mother, Veronique Rabiot, has held talks with Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti over a potential summer switch to Everton.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks, yet the Toffees are looking to strengthen in midfield and have earmarked Rabiot as a potential Goodison Park arrival in the off-season.

Rabiot was handed his debut by Ancelotti at PSG and the Toffees would likely jump at the chance to sign the £18m rated Frenchman.

Everton are prepared to listen to offers for Morgan Schneiderlin and Gyfli Sigurdsson with the funds raised likely to be used to lure the Juventus midfielder to Merseyside.
