Manchester City plan to open talks with Kevin De Bruyne to reward their star midfielder with a bumper new deal, reports The Daily Telegraph.

De Bruyne still has four years remaining on his existing £115,000-a-week contract but City are so happy with the Belgium international that they want to reward him with a new deal.

The 26-year-old has been immense for City this season and even finished their 4-0 win away to Feyenoord in the Champions League as captain, highlighting his growing role under Pep Guardiola.

De Bruyne is already an early candidate for PFA Player of the Year and City are reportedly willing to offer him a new contract worth £200,000-a-week.
