RB Leipzig sign Super Lig’s highest rated player

RB Leipzig have announced they have signed highly-rated Galatasaray winger Bruma on a five-year deal until 2022.

The Bundesliga outfit are keen to bolster their offensive options ahead of the upcoming season when they will welcome Champions League football for the first time in the club’s short history.

Bruma, 22, has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League after excelling in Turkey since establishing himself in the Galatasaray first team last season.

Leipzig have moved to get the deal over the line before Bruma takes part in the U21 European Championships with Portugal, which starts on Friday, and Ralf Rangnick, the club’s sporting director, is delighted with the transfer.

“Bruma fits perfectly with our football,” he told the club’s official website. “He is fast, technically strong and has an extreme drive to goal. We are glad that we could sign a player with such talent.

Bruma will expand our options in the offensive phase and give us even more flexibility in the 1 position.”

The Portuguese forward finished last season as the highest rated player in the Turkish Super Lig (7.69) after scoring 11 goals and registering six assists in 30 appearances.

Furthermore, the Galatasaray ace completed at least 30 more dribbles than any other player (133) and finished the campaign with at least two more WhoScored Man of the Match Awards than any other player (9).
