Arsenal are sweating on scan results amid fears Danny Welbeck could miss the next four weeks with a groin injury, reports The Daily Mail.
Welbeck immediately called to be taken off towards the end of Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea after falling awkwardly on his leg.
The England international has endured a nightmare time with injuries since moving from Manchester United to Arsenal in 2014 and is now set for another spell on the sidelines.
Welbeck has already undergone preliminary tests but Arsenal will wait on results from a definitive scan on Tuesday before estimating the 26-year-old’s recovery.
The striker was enjoying his best run in the Arsenal first-team for several years after starting each of the Gunners’ opening five league games of the season. In fact, Welbeck has already scored more league goals this season (3) than he managed in the whole of the last campaign (2).
