Borussia Dortmund set eye-watering valuation for Manchester United target Sancho

Borussia Dortmund are unmoved by expectations of lower transfer valuations this summer and still want £115m for Jadon Sancho, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Sancho has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League for the past 12 months after developing into one of the best young players in Europe.

Chelsea abandoned their pursuit of Sancho after conceding defeat to Premier League rivals Manchester United but now even the Red Devils may miss out on his signature.

Despite £100m transfers being chalked off for the foreseeable future due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Dortmund will not accept a cut price deal for the 20-year-old.

With two years left to run on his current Dortmund deal, the Bundesliga outfit are in no great rush to cash in on Sancho.

Should transfer valuations increase next summer, Dortmund believe they will eventually get in excess of £100m for the talented winger.

It serves as a huge blow for United, who now face the prospect of paying an eye-watering sum for Sancho or shelving their interest for another 12 months.

Even though United are likely to be one of the least-affected clubs of the Coronavirus outbreak, Solskjaer's side will look to reduce the amount of high transfer fee signings in the immediate future.

Sancho was the first player in Europe's top five leagues this season to register double figures for both goals and assists and is motoring his way to 20 of each, currently on 17 goals and 16 assists from just 28 league appearances.
